School Journal!

Hey bloggers, I'm back!
Today, I am going to be posting my school journal work that I have done, this was my first school journal that I did this year. I really liked doing the activities because we had our own time to do them and we had to self manage ourselves with being told by the teachers.

What we had to do was read the book, then we had to write  5 words that were unusual or you didn't really understand, then we had to find the meaning and write using that word so that we could show that we understand what it meant.

I really liked doing the activities because some of them included drawing or being creative which I like. You may know if you have watched my media team video that I like drawing. I think that this was my favourite school journal book that my group did. We have done 2 and in the other one, one of the activities were to make this video of this play that was from the story. We had lots of fun filming it but we didn't finish it but that was last term.

Anyway, here is my work, I hope you enjoy and if you have any questions  then please ask! Until next time, goodbye!

We have started our home learning activities apart from reading and maths whizz that we have to do every night. But you have to do another activity that you can do anytime from Monday after school to Thursday afterschool. On our class site, they show activities that we can do. We have started doing this in week 2 Term 2 I think and we need to do one of those activities and post them on our blog. Here is my activity that I did this week! I hope you enjoy and if you have nay questions or suggestion then please ask, until next time, goodbye!

Student Summit!

Hey bloggers, I'm back!
In term 1, we went to South Hornby Primary because the student summit for 2019 was held at their school. The media team were also going to be going along with the other presenters because we were going to be doing a video about what happens at the student summit.

The media team's from  other schools were also doing the same thing but they were going to make a video of their own. I had lots of fun taking clips and learning about new toolkits at the same time. Here is the video that we put together and edited.

Miss Morgan also came for a visit to help us edit the video because that was only the second video that we were made. We finished the video and edited until we were happy with it. Here is the video, hope you enjoy! Until next time, goodbye!

Easter fun day!

Hey bloggers, I'm back! Today, we had our easter day today and it was really fun! When we first came in, we started making and decorating our hats that we either bought from home to decorate OR make some at school with cardboard. At first, I didn't know HOW I wanted to make my hat because I was going to make it out of cardboard. I looked some designs up and eventually decided to make it like a mini version of a top hat so a low hat, (IDK if that is even a word). It took me a while because I was going to make a circle border thing around it but I hat to make sure it was even. It took quite a long time but I managed to finish before break, here are some photos!

After we had finished making hats, we then had to do a MASSIVE clean up because our class was really untidy. One we finished, it was break time so we went out to break and then came back doing the same thing as everyday that we do after break, eating and listening to one of the teachers reading a book to us. The book that they are reading at the moment is called Wonder.  We then got started on learning about our NEW Eggcellent technology! Hilarious aren't I? No? Okay, so as I was saying, the new thing that we had to do was to make like a harness thing to make a raw egg travel without falling, or breaking when hitting the bench. We had some things to help us make everything like  a strip of cardboard, some straws, some cotton balls, 3 pieces of paper,  and pipe cleaners. We had to get into groups of 3 or 4. I went with Jedi, Chloe and Zahrah. Here is a photo! Hope you enjoy!

Home Learning!

Hey bloggers, I'm back!
We have started our home learning activities apart from reading and maths whizz that we have to do every night. But you have to do another activity that you can do anytime from Monday after school to Thursday after school. On our class site, they show activities that we can do. This is the second week of Home Learning and I decided to do this one! For this activity, you have to imagine that you are going on the moon and you have to pick 3 characters to come with you. I hope you enjoy and if you have questions or comments on how I can improve my blog then go and comment! Until next time, see you later!

Media Team Day!

Hey bloggers I'm back!
Today we had our Media Team day at Hornby Primary School. We had to get dropped of by our parents and get picked up from Hornby Primary too. At first, we just kind of got to know eachother and Miss Morgan just told us about what the plan was and what we were going to be doing. So after that, we had to login to the Wi-Fi but for some people, it didn't work so we used a different Wi-Fi. After that, we had around I think 5 minutes to find some jokes because at the end of the day, we were going to be taking turns saying joes while the their had water in there mouth. Some of the jokes were really fun which made me laugh and spit the water but most of them weren't as funny.

After looking for some jokes, we each picked a slide and decorated it. The slides were for the Student Summit for Friday which is tomorrow. I had to cop and paste the names of the people going for each toolkit for session 2. There were lots of names and I couldn't fit all of them which was why I had to make the font very small but that didn't matter because on the day, the words would be projected which would make the text look really big.

I didn't finish mine because I was going to decorate it more but it was break time for us. We sat outside on the tables and had our morning tea. After we had our morning tea we got o play for a while. We played busted in the playground with the other Media Team students from other school's which was really fun!

After break, we had a producer who came in and taught us about filming and his name was Kerrie (if that's how you spell it right). He produced many TV shows like What Now, Adam and Eve show, Fanimals and many more that I can't remember. He taught us what the names of different types of shots were like Wide shot, Low shot, Medium low shot, extreme low shot and so on. He taught us some tips and things that we should do before we start filming. Like planning things, making sure that you look excited, lighting is good and so on. He taught us what Panning and Tilting means. Panning means when you move the camera from left to right and Tilting means moving the camera up or down. Always film more than you need to because you could make a transition that would look really cool and always edit your video!

It was time for lunch now. We went and sat at the tables and had our lunch which was nice because I was really hungry. We had our food and played busted again but some people from Hornby Primary joined in as well. It was a very fun game!

After break, we went inside and did some planning for tomorrow. Because tomorrow we were going to be filming and interviewing people which means we had to make a timetable about what we were going to be doing. We had to write questions down and write the names of the people that we were going to be interviewing and what times. We also used some photos and a story board of what we were going to be filming for tomorrow.

Once we had finished, we got our bottles and went outside and took turns to tell jokes. I spat the my water out 2 times and most of the other time, I kept accidently swallowing it before they een told the joke. Here are some jokes that I found funny!

A couple were at a restaurant and the chef bought the food.
Husband: Food looks delicious, lets eat!
Wife: But I thought you always said a prayer at home?"
Husband: Well that's home and this is a restaurant. Here is the chef knows how to cook.

What is the difference between a snowman and a snowwoman? Snowballs!

I hope you enjoyed my blog post and if you have any questions then please ask, until next time, goodbye!

Media Team video about me!

Hey there bloggers, I'm back!
Today, my blog post is going to be a video that the media team crew from each school were meant to make. This took us a while because we were unsure of how to present it and where we should take the shot. We also forgot the words as well. But when we finished the video and finished editing it, the video was really cool. The website we used was WeVideo. We had finished our video but it was too short compared to the other videos that other schools made so we made it longer. At first, we didn't know what we were going to add into it but Miss Morgan gave us a few idea's which really helped us (thanks a lot) to make our video longer. Tomorrow, the media team from other schools in our cluster are going to be having a meeting that we are going to tomorrow. Its going to be for the whole day so I am excited to see what we are going to be doing. Here is the video! I hope you enjoyed my blog and if you ave any questions, then please ask, until next time, goodbye!
