Hey bloggers, I'm back!
I am going to be blogging about a dress that Jedi, Chloe and I are making. Its like a high low dress and today is the second day that we have made it. Jedi bought some fabric and I cut the skirt. How exactly do you cut a skirt? Do you cut it straight? Well, what I did was I folded the fabric and then I measured Jedi's waist because the measurements are based on her because she is going to wear it. Then I cut the fabric for the waist, cut the actual skirt which was successful and actually worked.
After that, I had to sew it with my hands because we didn't bring an actual sewing machine so we did it like that. It took a while and that was my time spent making the skirt. At the end, it turned really well except you could see the stitches from the other side so we are going to put a lace or ribbon to hide that. Chloe, made the accessories which are made out of wire. It has a head piece and everything with shapes at the end.
Jedi was making the top of the dress. She accidentally forgot to fold it so that sort of failed but then in the end, it worked out well because she just had to trace it again and cut it again. That was what we did yesterday. Today, we tried sewing this green thing on the stitched part so that it would be hidden. That worked but it took a long time and you could see the stitches so what we did was try to glue it with PVA but that didn't' worked either. So we need to think about that.
Here is the picture of our plan that we did and a time lapse which we ended before we got to finish.
What do you think? I hope you enjoy! I would like some feedback so that we could improve the dress!
