My CV and CL!

Hello bloggers, I'm back!

Today I am going to share my CV and CL which I did today. A CV is short for Curriculum Vitae and CL is short for Cover Letter. These are basically things that you have to do for when you want to apply for a job. If you don't know, this week, while most of the year 7 and 8's, along with our teachers, went to Wellington camp, the others did something special. 

Everyday, we would pick a different career and we would learn and complete certain activities for that. On Monday, I was an architect. On Tuesday, I was a researcher. On Wednesday, I was a private detective and on Thursday, I was an interior designer. On Friday which is today, we had to pick our favourite one and do certain activities for that. 

We then had to write a CV and CL about that job! Here are mine! We had to include some personal things but I just made them up. The only real thing about it is the email but the phone number things are all fake!

Personal Summary

I have had a couple of jobs before. I was a researcher once and was working with a friend of mine, Hana. We found a new species of plants and I am also an interior designer. I have designed many houses before. I went to school at Bromley School for 3 years and then I went to Yaldhurst Model School and finished school there. I graduated from University of Canterbury. 

Main Achievements

I have had some achievements throughout school and also when I was working as an interior designer as well as being a Private Investigator. At a young age, I loved to solve mysteries and I wanted to become a spy or a detective when I grew up, but my parents weren’t really happy with that. They wanted me to become something like a doctor although I didn’t really want to become a doctor that much. I wanted to have a job that I would enjoy. I loved sports when I was younger and I still do love sports, infact, keeping fit is something very important for me. I’ve won awards at school for my sports many times throughout the years of school. I was also a captain for my hockey club as well. I also studied Criminology as well. 

Skills

Something about me is that I know many languages and English is my second language. My first language is Farsi or Dari. I know Farsi, English, Persian, Pig Latin and I’m learning Arabic at the moment. 

I wouldn’t say that I am a tech expert but I think that I am pretty good with technology and I also learn things quickly, I have a lot of creativity and sometimes when my creativity kicks in, I can make some pretty cool things! I also work hard and try my best at everything I can, I love challenges and doing things that I haven’t done before.

Work Experiences

When I was young, during the holidays, I would have a part time job at shops so that I had something to do and it kept be busy. When I was around 16, I was working at a checkout at Nandos on weekends, I worked as an interior designer, a researcher and an architect. I did all of those jobs for a couple of years and then realized that I didn’t really enjoy what I was doing and I had a passion for solving mysteries so I decided to become a Private Investigator. I have watched a lot of movies with Private Investigators and Detectives and I always wanted to be like them.

Education

I got an A in Science, Maths and technology. I got an A+ for Art and I also a B for Drama and Languages. The reason why I did Drama was because I wanted to try something new and I was kind of nervous but as time went on, I got braver and braver until I got really brave and always picked Drama for one of subjects at High School. 

Interests

I love going outdoors and playing sports as well. Love going on walks through the mountains and going on trips around the world. I also like to go and sit by the shore on by the cliffs and try and draw it or take photos as photography is one of hobby and I love. Although those are all fun, spending time with my family is more important and also very fun, especially when we go on trips but I can’t forget my friends as they are part of my life. 

Referee’s

I have 2 main referees and they are Hana and also Jacob too, Hana was one my friends from when I was in school and she was actually a P.I as well but then she tried another job. Jacob was one my P.I workers. He had helped crack some cases which I couldn’t have done them without him or Hana. When we were all P.I, we solved many crimes and cases too. One of my greatest solved mysteries was when I found out who kidnapped Holly Dawson but that was only one of them. 

MY CL

To whom it may concern, 

My name is Parwin and I am writing to express my interest in the position of being a Private Investigator. I am currently studying criminology and I would be grateful if you gave the honor of working with you. The reason why I want to work with you is because when I was younger, I always wanted to become a detective or a Private Detective which is why I have chosen to become one. My parents wanted me to become a doctor but when they saw that I really wanted to become one, they approved with the idea. 

I graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Masters degree in criminology. As you can see from my CV, I have worked as an architect, interior designer and also a researcher although all of them were good, I still wanted to become a P.I so I worked hard and got a masters degree in Criminology. When I was around year 6, we learnt all about forensic science as well. My science at school was an A, which you can see from my CV. My mother tongue is Farsi or Dari but I am Fluent in English and Persian, I am also learning Arabic too. 

I feel I am suitable for this rule as I have a lot of passion and enthusiasm for this job and I have a great deal of experience when it comes to forensic science too. I consider myself to be a friendly efficient and also a very bubbly worker who is full of energy. I try my best in everything and I like working with others as it is better to have more people working together than on your own. I believe in myself that I would be the ideal worker that you are looking for as I not only both experienced in forensic science but I have also studied criminology and have received a masters degree in it. I am very keen on worker with such an ambitious and determined company such as yours.
