SLJ- Day 1

Hey Bloggers, I'm back!
Today I am going to be completing the first Summer Learning Journey activity! The Summer Learning Journey is basically where we complete certain activities over the holidays to earn points and then earn prizes too! There are 2 activities that you do everyday which is worth 4 points which means you get 8 points by doing both of them and the bonus is 6 points. If you do any comments then I think it would be 2 points for every comment!

For the first activity, I have to pretend that I am at sea for 3 weeks sailing from one pace to the other. I then have the choice to pick 10 food items which I can take with me. I have chosen 10 things and I have presented them on google slides, here it is!

For the second activity, I have to include my experiences and my cultural background and some info about it. I will just do it here!

I am from Afghanistan which is a land locked country in Central Asia. I parents are both from Afghanistan and I was born there.  My culture comes from Afghanistan but my Religion is Islam. I like my religion and my culture as well. Poetry is a pretty important thing in my culture and the first oil paintings were not actually made in Renaissance Europe but in the caves of Bamiyan.

For the bonus activity, I basically have to chose a charity group and include some info about it!
Here it is!

I have chosen the SPCA!
They are people who look after animals so they are Vets. They help all types of animals whether they are hurt or they are lost. They can also fine people if they are being cruel to animals as well or maybe f they can't look after their pets properly. They also sell some animals as well. They really make a difference and you can also find some advice on there as well!

That was my blog post for today, I hoped you enjoy! If you have any questions then please ask! Otherwise, until next time goodbye!

  1. Kia ora Parwin, Its me, Amelia.

I liked the way you have a pretty font but its still able to read and are thinking of things you like.

This reminds me of one of my blog posts because they are pretty similar and they are both the same activity.

To improve, maybe you could add pictures and more cool backgrounds to attract more attention.

Why are you so good at the learning journeys?

    Bye Parwin, keep it up!

    1. Hello Amelia, thank you for commenting on my blog!

Thank you so much for the positive feedback! Maybe I will think about adding some pictures and things to make it more wow and just interesting if you know what I mean.

I have seen your blog post and they do look pretty similar as well and defiantly because they are both the same activity because we are doing the same thing.

Now to answer your question, the reason why is because I give myself a goal before I start it and then I kind of just try my best as well. Just try your best and honestly, it doesn't matter if I don't get to my goal because there is always a next time and sometimes if there isn't a next time, I still just shrug it off. Just kind of say to myself that I tried my best, you know?

Again, I would like to say thank you for taking your time and writing an amazing comment!

      Thanks for the comment,
      Parwin

  2. Kia ora Parwin,

Well done completing your first SLJ blog post. You have done it to such a high standard so well done and keep up the hard work.

I like that you have created your food list in a slide, it makes it easy to read and follow. You have listed some great food items to take on a trip.

The SPCA is such a wonderful charity who do amazing things to help animals and keep them safe. We have a cat at home called Callah that we adopted as he was abandoned. Do you have any animals at home? If you could have any pet, what would it be?

Until next time, happy blogging :)

    1. Hello Emma, thank you for commenting on my blog!

Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I don't have any pets at home and I haven't ever gotten a pet although I do want a puppy.

If I could have any pet in the world, maybe I want to have a white, fluffy bunny or maybe a poodle or something, I'm not sure maybe one of those.

A couple of days ago, I was reading this thing about this German Shepherd dog which had this disease which I forgot the name of but it wouldn't grow even though it aged. It was tiny and it looked really cute! Maybe I would want to have that dog, not so sure!

Again, I would like to say thank you for taking your time and writing an awesome comment!

      Thanks for the comment,

  3. Kia ora Parwin,
Its me Alan. Thanks for commenting in my same blog post.

I think you made a mistake in the first item because water is not a food item.

To improve maybe you could add a colourful attractive background.
    Kind regards
    Alan

    1. Hello Alan, thanks for commenting on my blog!

Your welcome but I am aiming to comment on everyones blog every time they post something but I might sometimes miss some posts.

I didn't really think of it but if I have time, I will change it but thanks for letting me know!

I don't really like making the background a different colour so maybe intead, I could add photo's to attact the readers.

Thanks for taking your time and writing a positive comment,
