Summer Learning Journey-Activities 1 and 2 and 3!

Hey bloggers, I'm back!
There is something that my school does the in the 6 weeks holidays and that is the Summer Learning Journey, it is where we do activities everyday for 4 weeks and then when it is finished, they announce 3 winners, 1st, 2nd and 3rd. There are super cool prizes and I want to try and win one of those prizes which is why I am doing it. If we do it then all of our hard work won't drop down so then you have to restart, but if we do the Summer Learning Journey then all our hard work won't drop all the way down and we will also learn new things too!  Here is the first activity that we did! If you want to see the activities then click on this link!
And here is the 2nd activity!
And here is the Bonus Activity!

  1. Hi Parwin! Hey it's me Mia. I love your post on the Summer Learning Journey activities. I really like the layout and colors that you have chosen. This reminds me of all the things that Christchurch is known for because when I was reading it, quake city sort of just popped into my head. To improve your blog maybe try making some text look bigger so it pops out more.

If it's just me and you who will come over the top!
looking forward to more of your blogs!
    Mia

    2. Hey Mia!
Thanks for commenting on my blog, I will try and make the text bigger but I took a screenshot of it thats why the text is kind of smaller. Anyway thanks again and your summer learning journey activities look really cool! You know what the funny thing is, when the Summer Learning Journey people came and asked how many people are going to do it, everybody put their hand up but so far its only 3 people from our class who are you, me and Grace.

Thanks for commenting on my blog,

    3. Grace King? ok well that's quiet normal, I was sort of guessing that she would do it. To make the text bigger you can embed the code from the drawing (if you did a drawing) because you can change the size of the whole picture as well, and it comes up cleaner.

  2. Ata mārie, Parwin!

My name is Mikey and I will be commenting on your Summer Learning Journey posts this year. I'm looking forward to reading your blog over the coming weeks, and learning a bit about you and our beautiful environment :)

Well done on researching your top three New Zealand facts. Have you seen any of those movies? I think my favourite from that list would have to be the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I love watching those films knowing that all of the beautiful scenery is here in New Zealand. What other movies do you like?

Your hometown sounds amazing! I really like the adjectives you've used to describe the graffiti. I can picture it perfectly in my mind. I'm glad to hear that the city is doing well after the earthquakes. That must have been a very scary time. I visited Samoa earlier this year and got stuck in a cyclone. THAT was scary! Our hotel bed was like a little island in the middle of our room because it got so flooded. I've never been to Christchurch but I used to live in Wellington which I really loved, so if Christchurch is better than that I think I'd really like it. Are there any activities you'd recommend I do if I do get a chance to visit? What do you like to do?

You've included some really important messages in your 'digital footprint' Parwin. I'm really glad you know how to be safe online. Another thing to be mindful of when blogging is to attribute any images that you use. This means giving credit to the person/website you got the photos from. Here's a link to help you do that:

You've made a fantastic start to the Summer Learning Journey, Parwin. Your blog looks great and I really like the way you've displayed your activities. The colours and images you've chosen make it even more fun to read. Keep up the great work and I look forward to reading more from you soon :)

    Happy blogging!

    1. Hey there Mikey, thanks for commenting on my blog!
Yes I have seen some of the movies and my favourite one is the Lord Of The Rings except some scenes creep me out but most of the scenes that arn't creepy are beautiful! I think that if you come to Christchurch, you should go to the city and explore the shops because the shops are really cool! I will try to remember to give credit to the person/website that I used the photo from.

    2. Hi Parwin!

You're right, there are some rather frightening scenes in those movies. And the orcs! Whoever designed those costumes has an amazing imagination. What other movies do you like?

I hear there are some great places to eat in Christchurch too. Do you have a favourite?

      Perfect! That's all I can ask :)

      Talk soon,

      Mikey

    3. Hey Mikey!
I also like the Chronicles of Narnia as well as Lord Of The Rings because there are many beautiful scenes in it as well as some frightening scenes too. I also like Margret Mahey park because it has cool equipment there.
