My recount about my holidays

In the holidays I...In Kauri class, we have been learning to write recounts about things that we did. My recount is about what I did in the holidays because I did boisterous/energetic things. Something that I learnt was to use paragraphs and really juicy words since I am a juicy and fun person, just kidding! HA, HA, HA! Not funny? Okay anyway as I was saying, I also learnt how to sew in the holidays which

is in my recount and HOPE YOU ENJOY MY RECOUNT! In the holidays I…

On the second Monday of the holidays I played dressing up with my little brother Sahil because I was bored. WHen my Dad came my Dad, Shukoor, and I went to the park to play tennis because tennis is awesome!  We have this thing that we do like we all pretend that we are tennis champions and we have these matches against each other and guess what, I came first, SHukoor came second, and my Dad came 3rd (also known as last.)

As time passed we had to go home because it was getting pretty dark. I scootered home since I had my scooter with me but when I went home I had to learn how to SEW! Which seemed pretty easy but it seemed hard at the same time too. My Mum helped me make a thing for Muharram (Muslim celebration) which took me a long time to finish it because I was only a starter for sewing. It was getting really late now so I went to sleep dreaming that I turned into a chocolate-chip cookie and got eaten by my sister’s Parisa and Roya even though they have no teeth!

Hours past which meant that it was morning which I was really happy that it was morning because I do not really like sleeping to be honest. I had breakfast and watched WHAT NOW since it is so awesome but something else that was awesome was that I did not have to go to farsi school but I had to help my Mum with my sisters. While I was holding one of my sister's I was talking to them and one was looking at me laughing which was so cute!
Finally when my Dad woke up he had breakfast and said that he is going to the mall with the boys but not the girls which was not even close to being fare. I had to look after the babies while my mum had a shower. When my Dad came I ran off dressing up as my Dad with my Mum’s high heels and trust me, walking with high heels with long pants for a ten year old girl is not easy but it was boisterous.

Before long it was the end of the holidays and I was very captivated but also narcoleptic and that was why I went to sleep early. When I went in my bed I fell asleep dreaming that all my friends were my sisters but then my DAD woke me up by articulating really rudely because he woke me up from my awesome dream that I enjoyed alot! The only reason why he woke me up was because I had to go to SCHOOL! It was the first day of term 4 so I tried to be early but I couldn’t because I was too lazy to get ready.

  1. Bonjour Parwin
Its Ella from Awahono School. I love your recount about your holidays. You used some very exciting, juicy words in all of your recount, but especially in the last paragraph. It sounds like you had a very exciting holiday with your family. I would love it if you could look at my blog. Here is the link:

  2. I agree with Ella, Parwin - you are choosing to use juicy words so that your writing pops for the reader. I did not realise that you are such a good tennis player, Parwin. Maybe I will have to give you a game when we have our tennis focus.

  3. I am interested to read in your first paragraph that you were bored. I find this very hard to believe given that you are such a boisterous girl. I love the fact that you pretend to be tennis champions. Who do you pretend to be? I have stood within two metres of Roger Federer and I noticed we have a lot in common. The biggest similarity is that we both use a tennis racquet when playing tennis.

You have employed some engaging verbs in your writing that stopped me from becoming narcoleptic.

I look forward to your next blog post.
