Summer Learning journey day 3 activities

Hey there bloggers, I am back! In my previous blog posts, I have been blogging about the summer Learning journey and the activities and that is what I am doing right now! My blog post will be about the 3rd day of the summer learning journey. For the first activity, we have to describe a mythical beast and that is what my first one is going to be about. I hope you enjoy my work!

Here is the 2nd activity!

Do I want to be a DOC Ranger?
Well I do want to be one because I love animals because there are types of animals and different breeds too. So if I was a DOC ranger, then I would  not only take care of the animals but I would also learn new things about the animals too. Those are the good things and I don't think there would be any bad things about being a DOC Ranger.

And here is the bonus activity!

1- The name of the animal the WWF is working to save. The name of the animals that they are trying to save are tigers and fresh water seals.

2- What the WWF is doing to help the animal. Well to save the seals, they are making snow banks so then the seals are safe from predators. And for the tiger I didn't really get what they were trying to do to save them, so I don't know!
3-What, if any, success they have had protecting the animal. Well if they do protect the animals then we won't have that breed of animal endangered and then we will have more of those animals hopefully!

That was my Summer Learning Journey activities for day 3 and I hope you enjoyed them, if you have any questions then please ask and I would like feedback on how I can improve my blog post, thank you!

  1. Kia ora Parwin,

Welcome back to the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) for 2018-2019! My name is Hazel and I am part of the team who will be blogging with you this summer. We are so glad you've returned to the SLJ, and I look forward to reading your posts over the next few weeks as we learn all about the world around us.

I love the beast that you have created. You have done a great job of describing it, and I love the picture that you have drawn. What would you name your beast? What kind of habitat would it live in?

I think you would make an excellent DOC ranger; it sounds as though you really like animals.

You've written a fantastic summary of the WWF projects about the tigers and seals. What else do you think that people could be doing to help these animals?

    Keep up the awesome work!

    Hazel :)
