We're selling our school!

Hey bloggers, I'm back!

Today I am going to be sharing something that we had to do for Media Team. What we had to do was make like a video for selling our school but we aren't actually selling our school for real. We actually finished this like last term and we thought that we had blogged about it but we had blogged the scary trailer and the video doesn't work but I have fixed that so hopefully it works now! Make sure to check it out!

Now, the first thing that we did, was we did some planning about the shots and what we were going to film. It took us a long time because one day it would be sunny but the next day it wouldn't and it would look a bit odd if the weather just changes in a couple of seconds. We filmed this during Spring so there were blossoms and we used that for our ending of out video.

I think that the video is actually pretty cool, what do you think? Here is the video, I hope you enjoy! If you have any questions then please ask! Other wsie, until next time, goodbye!

  1. Greetings Parwin,

My Name is Amelia and I am a Year 8 student attending Pt England School.

Great blog-post you have here. The idea of you people selling your school seemed very odd and crazy, until I read the description...whew! You all are a very smart media team. I liked the wide range of spaces in the school you have used and also the idea of interviews kept me watching your little video. I enjoyed listening to the information that was shared during the video too!

Our school also has a media team/crew, but they are used to film events in or outside of school like sports, trips etc. I would definitely say our school are filled with amazing film makers just like you all. We are a very digital learning school and creators, so we start film making from Years 4 or maybe even 3!

From one film maker to another, I think that next time you should work on the editing a bit more. It was hard to listen to what the people in the video had to say due to the background music taking over there voices. Maybe next time you guys should go through the answers and questions off by heart to create a better flow between the interviewer and speaker instead of little pauses in between. I would also suggest to use a tripod to keep your camera still so the attention is focused directly on the two people that a speaking. Did you guys use iMovie to create this video? It's a very helpful app and if you do use it, do you find it hard to work with? Please let me know :)

Overall, I hope to see more blog-posts just like this one. You all seem to have a lot of capability in your media team so I would advise that you all keep doing your best and make lot's of improvement! Keep it up :)
